[Wonder Woman is] a female superhero who isn't reliant on a male franchise -- she has her own canon, her own unique set of powers, and her own mythology. Lynda Carter owned the role.
While there seemed to be more and more of an eh, good enough approach to Wonder Woman the longer the series ran, it still delivered the goods, if only to comics-besotted youngsters who didn't have many other options on TV at the time.
