The series begins with action and science fiction where there seems to be more powerful adventures. The series opens its events in a world where penicillin has never been invented. Queen is mistaken for being a double, thought to have caused a massive pandemic. While imprisoned by a health agency, Wade shows signs of infection and Arturo can only find treatment.
Among the new spring series I've seen, Sliders stands out as the most enjoyable. ''What-might-have-been'' is usually a pointless exercise, but here it makes for some rousing entertainment.
