What did feel right and true was the new team's continued loyalty to one another. It reinforced the commitment they've made to one another and the values upon which they founded their team.
There will always be missteps in shows with 23 episode runs, but this show seemed virtually unsalvageable back in season four. Since the premier of season five it has gradually pulled itself up by its bootstraps and headed in the right direction.
