American Horror Story - Season 8, Episode 06: Return To Murder House
Trailer
In a horrifying and exciting atmosphere, this series presents a new story in each season, following it from the beginning till its' end. And it has managed to achive great success and get high rates among the critics. In this season, we see a new exciting story which takes after the final people who survived after the Apocalypse. They have to follow particular rules if they want to keep in safe.
But in this season, patriarchy has been flipped on its head completely, and now men are having to justify their actions to women who are in positions of power.
Constance Langdon's confessional monologue was the most effective, possibly simply because it's so exciting to see Jessica Lange come back, but also because of the tragic through line.
This episode was the directorial debut for Sarah Paulson, and I believe she did an amazing job. I really enjoyed this episode. It was nice to catch up with at least some of the ghosts in the house.
It's the perfect way to end the episode for Murder House fans: closure for the fan-favorites, answers to some burning questions, and most importantly, the return of AHS Queen Jessica Lange.
Return to Murder House manages to deepen the mythology of the titular house at the heart of American Horror Story's very first season while filling in Michael's history.
The long-awaited installment delivered not only the inspired, if brief, returns of Jessica Lange, Connie Britton, and Dylan McDermott, but also offered satisfying conclusions for multiple story threads that have been dangling for seven years.
As promised, the episode was a gift for the fans that delivered on character nostalgia, throwback show mythology and even tied up some loose ends while pushing the mysterious Apocalypse plot forward.
