When Harry Met Harry felt like a slight mislead, but worked overall. The Council scenes, while limited, were some of the best we have seen from Cavanagh throughout his time on the show.
By and large, you could see what When Harry Met Harry was trying to do at every step of the way. It just couldn't seem to execute it in a way that didn't come off as White Savior-y with a dose of trying too hard.
When Harry Met Harry had a goofy subplot that worked, some sense of redeeming Ralph and a villain with a better than average motive making for a really enjoyable episode.
The main problem with this episode was the way Black Bison was introduced and portrayed in contrast to the white hero narrative manifested in Ralph Dibny.
The episode veers too close to preachy instead of fun, and while several characters learn Very Important Lessons at the end, these moments feel predictable and unearned.
Overall this weeks episode of the Flash had the potential to be interesting but it sort of fizzled which was made even worse by some problematic casting choices.
