Oliver uses his secret persona to right societal wrongs and transform the city to its former glory. He must also contend with outside forces attempting to take over, but he feels its time he left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life.
"Green Arrow" is a promising opening statement for this new season - and perhaps this new era - of Arrow, and there's a feeling of clarity here that eluded last season as it wallowed in Nanda Parbat.
How great was McDonough? He not only owned the Starling City committee from the time he set foot in the room, his performance told you exactly who this character was: bold, assertive, ruthless, and a little bit insane.
