After she graduated from her college, Tru Davies gets a job at the city morgue. Tru has been known with her intelligence, that helps her to discover something strange at the morgue. She can repeat the day many times, the thing that able her to prevent murders or other bad things.
Tru may be a bit odd and dreary for mass consumption, but for fantasy fans searching for an alternative to Friends and Survivor, it does have its virtues.
You may think that dead people talking to somebody is a little beyond your suspension of disbelief, but it's handled well, and the supernatural elements remain tastefully restrained all the way to the finale.
The pace picks up as the series progresses and Tru's creepy/funny morgue boss gets more airtime, and less interesting characters are put on ice to make way for the now so-cheesy-he's-genius Jason Priestley.
Although fraught with silliness, the familiar premise does yield a modicum of suspense and appears destined to go about as far as Eliza Dushku's adorableness can take it.
Dushku brings terrific energy and range to a role that doesn't much ask for either. She's not the first star to outclass a tv series concept, but wouldn't everyone be happier if the show could keep up?
