The fifth season starts with Kara trying to fix her relationship with Lena after there were differences between them. In the meantime, J'onn J'onzz takes more thought about his memory and recalls more events. Kelly tries to help an old friend who is in real trouble, and Kara decided at the time to accept Pulitzer for her writing.

All of this sets up Supergirl Season 6 quite nicely, and I am choosing to have hope that it will be a great season -- even though we might have to wait a year to watch it.
The showrunners had to cobble together a series finale with the footage they'd shot before the shutdowns, and they did a bang-up job, all things considered.
