Mike Flaherty, the Deputy Mayor of New York City, and his team of half-wits must constantly save the Mayor from embarrassment and the media. Mike is later succeeded by Charlie Crawford.
Spin City is on a roll at the moment... The girlfriend was off-loaded, leaving Fox's character, Mike Flaherty, free to roam through a pasture knee-high in jokes about sex, politics and sexual politics.
It fights the good fight... with performances from Michael J. Fox and Michael Boatman that combine subtlety with slapstick to achieve the quality their punchlines frequently lack.
