A British nurse travels through time into a mysterious world and the only means of survival is to marry a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor.
"The Watch" was a great example of this between various pairs of characters and also continued on the brilliant work that was seen last week in "Lallybroch".
If there's one thing "The Watch" does well, it's tension, especially when Horrocks, the British traitor who knows about the accusations against Jamie and the price on his head, arrives.
Though the time at Lallybroch was nice, and even occasionally idyllic, sleepy reveries are not really Outlander's trademark. It's time to get back to adventuring.
Surprise! The conniving Irishman who was blackmailing his way to America sold out his fellow Watchmen. Somehow, I actually didn't see it coming until Jamie did. Well played show.
I hope you've gotten your rest in, lads and lassies, because now that Jamie's been arrested by the Redcoats, to say the drama ahead will be at full-throttle is an understatement.
Outside of the doom and gloom of Jamie's disappearance, there were a lot of bonding moments this week and they are, without a doubt, what really drive Outlander.
