Season 9 opens with Frasier getting torn about whether Claire or Lana is right for him, and tries to ask everybody for advice, even a fan, and later he makes his decision based on what the fan decides. Little does he know the ramifications this chance encounter will have.
Without the other stars of Cheers, the whole reunion thing sort of makes no sense. Why bother?... Somehow when you take what's left of the crew and put them in a fake catering room at a hotel, the whole thing becomes as sad as Cliff's retirement party.
