The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom fixated on five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper are both splendid physicists working at Caltech in Pasadena, Penny, a pretty lady and a yearning performing artist initially from Omaha, and Leonard and Sheldon's similarly nerdy and socially unbalanced companions and colleagues.
Just as The Class was dreadful from the start, so too is The Big Bang Theory, precisely the kind of coyly predictable hackery one expects from traditional sitcoms.
Lorre and series co-creator Bill Prady have peppered The Big Bang Theory with some witty lines, and Galecki and Parsons - playing winning variations on, respectively, awkward and wordy - are enjoyable to watch.
