Riverdale - Season 2, Episode 12: Chapter Twenty-Five: The Wicked and the Divine
Trailer
Sequel to the ongoing incident, Archie discovered a Vigilante group known as the Red circle, who may be approached to protect Riverdale High students. Meanwhile the coopers just received a comprehensive letter of the shooting.
For a small town, Riverdale certainly has a lot of shady moving parts. "The Wicked and the Divine" gives a glimpse into each one, though some are just in passing.
"Chapter Twenty-Five: The Wicked And The Divine" feels closer in tone and quality to what consistently worked for Riverdale in its first season than Riverdale has felt in awhile.
There's a real Goodfellas energy in the air as Archie runs menial errands for Hiram in his effort to break into the inner circle of the Lodge crime family.
Has Riverdale gone too Riverdale? That's the question I'm asking myself after this week's episode. With so many plots in the air, I'm starting to wonder if the show is focusing so much on the Riverdaleness of it all that it's being too loose with story.
Shout-out to Jughead for calling out the Riverdale P.D. for putting tons of time and money into vandalism and little to no effort into capturing a serial killer.
"The Wicked and the Divine" is a plot-packed hour of television that has Archie fully embracing the darkness of Veronica's family even as she tries to protect him from it.
