Season 6 continues with new events, with Mike B. being questioned by the Senate Intelligence Committee. The investigation into the case appears to be related to whether McCord's campaign is conspiring with Iran to steal the election or is there another course for that case. Elizabeth must avoid an investigation that will change the course of her life in that period.
All in all, Madam Secretary did the best it could with the limited time its been given, which made for a strong season premiere, yet fell far short in comparison to the five previous seasons.
