Returning to the drama that follows the daily activity of Lucifer, the handsome lord of Hell that gets bored of his life and decides to resign his throne. He moves to Los Angeles and opens a night club. In this new season, Chole and Maze investigate on a mysterious murder.
Feels like the erstwhile 'finality' of the show gave the cast a lot more permission to explore their characters. Not only are they clearly having a blast, they're given room to flesh out what each of them mean to each other in a way they never have before
Lucifer will always be the show that gave us an archangel chasing a chicken while the Devil laughs in the background and Season 5 is going all-in on the parts of the show that make it such an addictive watch.
The first half of Lucifer's fifth season offers up more of the same drama, comedy, and emotional weight that fans of the series have come to love and proves that the fantastic fourth season of the series -- its first on Netflix -- was no fluke.
It doesn't matter that Lucifer might be a bit predictable (the killers are not that hard to guess) and not exactly a novel TV format. It still is a form of light TV perfect if you want to unplug, laugh and be entertained. [Full review in Spanish]
