In a comedy atmosphere, this television series drama centers around the struggling life of Issa, a young African woman, who receives abuse according to her color' racial discrimination', the thing that affects badly on her, as she and her best friend Molly, have no luck on dating, and incidents come to climax, upon leaving Lawrence, Issa's boyfriend, the thing that frustrates her and makes her searching for a lover.
A program like "Insecure" is showing for the first time how hard it is for women like me to make a connection, let alone find a date, and it's doing it with humor and heart.
Insecure still veers wildly between being a static "hangout" show and having an evolving narrative. Most of the time, it can find a balance between the two, but this season hasn't felt particularly committed to either side.
Everyone on this show seems to be great at giving others advice - well, everyone except Chad, the perpetual scoundrel - while being wholly unwilling to or incapable of following it for themselves.
