Candice Ramirez is an American actress who was raised in South Dos Palos, CA, a small farming community in the San Joaquin Valley. As a child she participated in basketball, softball, volleyball and was active in school clubs such as Black Student Union and Leadership, among other activities. Her earliest introduction into the arts was the college production of "Calamity Jane" her mother participated in, which piqued her interest in performing at an early age. However, with few resources and opportunities in her small town, she found herself limited to performing in only the school choir, an eighth grade drama class and cheerleading competitions. For college, Candice attended UCLA and studied History and Afro-American Studies, based on her fascination with people and their stories. Post graduation, however, she decided to embrace her childhood dreams and return to a more creative pursuit.She made her television debut in 2018 on Silicon Valley (2014).
