The second season of a new comedy is completed, as Sybil departs before Basil's surprise anniversary party. Seibel seems to have decided to spend the evening trying to convince her friends that she was sick at those moments. Over time, the health inspector comes and Basil tries to tell Manuel to get rid of his pet rat. There is a selective deaf woman named Mrs. Richards who insists that she has received a large sum of money. Money seems to have been stolen at the hotel.
There weren't any largely obvious differences between the first and second series, save for a tighter rein on some of the denser scripts. The farce got more darkly outrageous and personal, leaving no room for improvement in any of the six episodes.
