Best of all, the writing and story lines are confident and clever and twisted in ways that suggest that "Damages" co-creators have already thought through the entire second season, and they know where this story is headed - namely, straight to hell.
It's the way the writers use this atmosphere of swirling intrigue and plot twists that distinguish it from the pack. This is a show the surrealists would've loved.
