You almost wished they had extended the parody of a "dark side of Bake Off", but then [Paul] Hollywood, as the show's alpha-heavy, perhaps wouldn't have to do too much that was different.
[Jenny Eclair] alone is able to combine proper baking skill and the kind of witty, playful imaginative touches that you need to succeed in this hard-bitten world of cakes and cookies.
