It's the annual Fourth of July parade, an exciting meeting of the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan is about to be held. This time, the grand marshal will be Jay who seeks for a good heading. New comedy and romantic stories in the tenth season of Modern Family.
Who knows where these stories are headed, or if Modern Family will follow through with them at all. For now though, they're solid building blocks, in terms of both narrative and emotional storytelling.
Whatever threw off Modern Family in the past seems to have passed. It may be too soon to tell, but this episode shows the storylines may be back on track.
