In the previous season, David Oliver is tortured in order to acknowledge that information about the whereabouts of Syd. The third season completes the series after David was able to defeat Farouq, and thus reveals the true face of the enemy at those critical moments. There is still one hope of revealing the full details of this enemy.
I couldn't have imagined Legion capable of crafting an ending like this, especially during the turbulent times of the past two seasons, so there's a cathartic sense of uplift here that even my criticisms of this hasty conclusion can't drag down.
The final episode of Legion isn't flawless, but flawless isn't how Legion lived. Still, the series was breathtaking in its visuals, thrillingly off-kilter in its risks, and oddly poignant in its quiet moments.
