Returning to the adventures and excitement of that drama series that follows the struggles of residents of a small town Jericho, who wake up to be shocked by finding out that they are the only survivors in America. In this new season, Jake and Maj prepare for hosting a visitor from the Cheyenne government.
If the plots in Jericho can be a little too transparent, the ideas are fun to chew on, in a what-if sort of way. The world is well-constructed, down to the details.
Well the good news is that the show is kinda-sorta ratcheting up the focus on the "what happened" story, plus it's looking more into how the country as a whole is dealing with its post-nukey self. The bad news is, I totally don't care anymore. At all.
Compressing an entire season's worth of action and twists and turns into a mere seven episodes, Jericho barrels along like a runaway train, stopping only to take on fresh shipments of paranoia.
On paper, the idea of building a new democracy from the ruins of war while government contractors run amok is just as strong as the original premise of Jericho. But the execution remains mediocre.
