It is a series of action and adventure that we are living with special forces working to counter the terror of the Cobra gang that is working to destroy everything around the world. The events of that string begin with G.I. Sends teams to different parts of the world to prevent a new scheme running through the Cobra gang. Now, Cobra is trying to cultivate its dangerous electronic cubes, while the shipwreck and Snake Eyes continue to place it behind enemy lines to stop it and destroy their plans again.
Somewhere in my sharp recall of 'Yo Joe!' battle cries and racial/gender stereotypes, I missed the substance of a fantastic cartoon with a rich plot-line, solid artwork, and fairly robust character personalities.
The show isn't very complex, but the nonstop explosions are exciting -- which means it will still have plenty of appeal for young viewers who've been raised with quick-cut action movies.
This is some of the goofiest stuff I've ever seen, even grading on the nostalgia scale. It's inoffensive enough, to be sure, but hardly anything worth revering.
All disquieting factors momentarily set aside, G.I. Joe featured impressive animation for the time, dedicated voice actors delivering solid performances and fairly sophisticated scripts for a cartoon.
