With all the serial killers and groups of adults who clearly hate each other crowding up the television landscape, it's always nice to see a show as openly optimistic and cathartic as Enlisted.
Incredibly funny and goofy, only to turn around and hit you with an emotional gut punch that you're somehow never ready for, even if you know it's coming.
For me, Enlisted's charm is its ability to organically blend serious plotlines with goofball humour, and to generate laughs out of the most innocuous subjects.
