The dramatic series revolves around the 1960s, when John Loengard and Kim Sayers play down many of the alien's plans. The binary should reveal the truth of the hidden foreign invasion, while a secret government organization follows its mission in dealing with the threat. In those moments, the husband tries to stay ahead of a secret government agency called Majestic-12, which fights foreigners.
It takes a while, but Dark Skies becomes such a wild ride with such a rock-solid premise that most who watch it will be anxiously awaiting the inevitable SyFy remake.
Dark Skies had some great production values and effects going for it, but it missed one key element that made The X-Files so memorable: great characters.
