Upon receiving a good offer of signing with a famous team in Atlanta, a young talented basketball player named Cam Calloway, who upon signing with that team, the thing that makes him struggle against coping with the life there as a new place for him, but what makes things worse, his silly relatives who annoy him.
It's not wildly funny in the early going, but there's a sense of confidence in the material, the tone and the world, and the creative team doesn't ask you to buy into things that aren't necessary.
Most often, the actors have good stuff to work with - lines melodious to speak and enough substance to build real characters from. All are up to the job.
Survivor's Remorse is a gem, a likable, smart, and wise single-camera comedy that, despite its clunky title, is as smoothly produced as an effortless, fluid jump shot. Swish.
