Criminal scenes continue in a third season. A member of a Latin gang appears to have been the victim of another rivalry, but Nate and Sammy learn from a local resident and soon shot himself as Romeo for the irresistible semi-black Juliet gang and a wave of murder that requires full mobilization of the lab. Ben's colleagues mock him. Dewey finally returned to the command patrols, where Cooper was leading the first to suffer from depression already.
Southland, which seems to be at pains to give each of its characters and their stories equal weight, may just be a little too evenhanded for its own good.
