The fourth season begins with more events as Jesse struggles with new paths through new visions towards the future of the end of the world he expects. Jesse and Tulip are preparing for an all-out assault on Massada in a short period, as Cassidy struggles during that seemingly bad and tortuous period of his life, but Star and his krill will be fully prepared for them.
Hair brained, infinitely inventive and unsullied by such things as logic Preacher has scorched a trail for four years, kicking open numerous doors in the process.
At its best, Preacher is angry and funny and sincere and unexpectedly sweet. At its worst, it's smug and nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is. My problem is, the worst is drowning out the best by a substantial margin.
[A]lthough we haven't given up on Preacher altogether, there's a distinct feeling that we're not nearly as excited to see the show's conclusion as we were when the season began.
