New Girl is the rare mainstream sitcom that's exceedingly at ease in discussing race, largely because it acknowledges the characters' well-meaning, flawed views, and plays them for eye rolls and laughs.
Overall, "Elaine's Big Day" is a very good finale to what has been an exceptional second season of New Girl, and we should await the third season with baited breath.
