The third season deals with more dramatic events, as Lisa hires help at Navy St at those moments. It seems her goal is for Alvey to be able to focus on training. During this period, Jai is engaged in a battle as he struggles to adapt to working life, and Garo tries to attract Wu Ryan to a different path.
What's far more compelling is what happens away from the arena... This is the balance that Kingdom has always struck, which makes me all the sadder that there are only nine episodes left.
These characters feel like they're still at the start of their journey. We want more time with them, which is one of the highest compliments I can think to give a television show on its way out.
