An exciting drama series follows a savvy and little youngster, who contributes by her notes to discover the pieces of information behind a homicide and unsolved case through her meeting to the town of her dad which ignores on the lake. So the opening of this season accompanies new episodes with Hilde, who finds new insider facts about Harbor, to see her dad reconnects again with his own dad and comes back to his past.
The contrast between this precious girl and the dark story she's reporting can at times feel out of whack... But as anyone knows if they experienced The Florida Project with Prince as their guide, she's a compulsively watchable actor.
The main attraction, from start to finish, is the insouciance and conviction that Prince brings to her portrayal of a child who suffers for being an outsider but refuses to give into pressure from family, schoolmates, teachers and police to just go along.

Rather than paying tribute to a real-life journalistic trailblazer, Home Before Dark plugs her into a generic prestige-TV mystery, with journalism as an afterthought.
Prince does an admirable job of embodying the young Hilde though she treads a very fine line between inspirational youngster and irritating know-it-all.
Considering that Home Before Dark is, for the most part, terribly written on a scene-to-scene level, its central mystery does offer a compelling baseline for the season.
In Prince's tiny, extremely capable hands, Hilde is a hero worth rooting for, even when she feels more like a symbol of hashtag feminism than a person.
