This season shows the era of 1988 in which Phoebe goes to San Francisco so she can live together with her sisters. Coincidentally she gets to know about the family’s Book of Shadow, where she discovers that they are extremely potent wishes. Together they need to combat witches and demons for safety of the virtuous.
But even with some heavily dramatic content involving the death of family members, Charmed remains fundamentally a silly show -- often with weak storylines and poor acting.
If you ever feel like crawling into a bright, colorful world in which demons lose, good wins, and there's still time to make it to a trendy club for a live performance of a hot new band at the end of the episode, the Halliwells are waiting.
