Within ten months of a mysterious accident in the small town of Medwich in California, it seems that things have turned into a mysterious path for everyone. During this period, 10 local women give birth to unfriendly foreign children pretending to be human, and have the ability to read adult minds with truly supernatural abilities.
Not bad, but Superman deserved a better sendoff before his paralysis.

It's the kind of film that appears to have been made by filmmakers who don't understand a thing about storytelling, pacing, tone, or atmosphere, which is only made all the more shocking by the fact that it was directed by the legendary John Carpenter.
The story is set across a decade and would be easy to pick apart, but such activity would divert attention from the film’s chief asset, its general mood and atmosphere, which improves on multiple viewings.
