The story begins in late 1960s Japan, followings a community of magical shape-shifting raccoon dogs as they band together to save their forest homeland from the bulldozers of greedy land developers.
By no means a particularly good film...But as a cultural curiosity and a showcase for stunningly bizarre animation, there's nothing else quite like it.
