The movie tells of a recurring horror surrounding a woman trying to escape those hidden powers. The story begins in the wake of an unknown global horror, where the mother must find the strength to escape with her children. There are many invisible and deadly forces that women are trying to escape, as the perilous journey seems very astounding.
Unfortunately, Bird Box puts these performers through familiar paces, in roles of such tight typecasting that they seem like recurring characters in an extended TV series...
Bird Box isn't going to be everyone's favorite movie. It's certainly not mine. But considering I'm still thinking about this film well after I initially watched it, I have to admit it did make an impact.
Bird Box's pieces feel forcibly screwed together, a movie marionetted by strings of data code. There's good scenes and smart ideas, but overall, the movie mostly clomps.
