The fifth season seems to be quite different, as Judy seems to have brought Bette to the meeting and hanging out with her deaf artist friends in a lake on the slope. It seems that Beta still has a hard time letting go of control in those seemingly difficult times, and Max thinks of the gender attraction of the sign language interpreter for Judy.
The girls are still dealing with the everyday problems of being gay and fabulous -- which looks a lot like straight and dull. Witness new parents Bette and Tina: sexless, argumentative, and more than a little boring.
