In an exciting and dramatic atmosphere, this series takes a deep look behind the life in New York City during the 1970s and '80s when the porn and many wrongdoings were spreaded so much. At the beginning of this season we see Vincent doing so well in the management of his new night club, Club 366. Also, his girl friend Abby helps him on this. But he may get in troubles because of his brother who borrows money from a sex emporium to pay off his debts.
The episode returns thoughtfully to the question of how much control the pimps continue to have over their women and their territory now that the parlors and the peeps have done so much to loosen their grip.
As much as The Deuce communicates the release Paul feels in that environment, it's difficult to watch this scene and not consider the specter of AIDS that looms over this type of sexual liberation.
Well done, Candy. I personally have some doubts over quite how different the artistic sex film Red Hot will be from your common or garden pornography, but I am not one to judge before seeing the work.
