The series presents a wide range of drama about the Carlin family, which decided to move from a small town in Ohio to Los Angeles because of Paula's new job in the city. They seem to have different customs and traditions, as it takes them some time to adjust to the lifestyle shift. Perhaps in that city, Dad Arthur may have trouble adapting to the life of big cities that need time to acclimate. Perhaps it is a story about racism, drugs and domestic violence.
