The 8th series of the superhero series begins with Clark Kent starting to settle into his new job at the daily planet and his budding romantic feelings for colleague Lois Lane while he secretly continues to fight his old adversaries secretly as Superman.
What amazes me about Smallville is that no matter how bad the storylines may get or how tiresome the narrative becomes, there is always this glimmer of hope that pulls us back in year after year.
