The fifth season completes its events through Dutch who fully realized that Westerley had developed in a collective illusion and in a world without memory, which might complicate things and perhaps there was nothing quite apparent. In the meantime, Dutch awakes from the memory matrix and is now determined to awaken her friends from loss and stop the lady, before she misses everything.
It's a testament to the show that it knows when to give the characters a chance to shine. Watching D'av and Lucy interact doesn't move the plot along in any way, but not every moment needs to do so.
