The fifth season completes its events through Dutch who fully realized that Westerley had developed in a collective illusion and in a world without memory, which might complicate things and perhaps there was nothing quite apparent. In the meantime, Dutch awakes from the memory matrix and is now determined to awaken her friends from loss and stop the lady, before she misses everything.
Killjoys works best when it combines action and mystery with sprinkles of snappy dialogue and humorous byplay, and "Run, Yala, Run" gets the series' final season off to a flying start.
Killjoys is best known for being a show about beautiful people being supremely badass, but this subdued restart is far more focused on character rather than action.
