Season 4 opens with the first victim from a road-closing wreck. Meanwhile, another trucker breaks through the ice enroute to the isolated town of Bettles. Jack returns to defend his title as 'King of the Haul Road,' but cocky second-year driver Greg is out to take him down and has something to prove.
Though enthusiasm waned a bit and the freshness of earlier seasons has just about evaporated, Ice Road Truckers is for all its faults cheesy and, sometimes, even informative fun
The feats of driving skill presented truly are amazing at times, but this program piles on the hype, with overdramatic narration, fast editing and swooping camera effects.
