The sixth season begins as Grace fears that her relationship is about to end, and Frankie faces an existential crisis as she learns that she has already declared her death legally and without confrontation. At the time, Grace and Frankie hold upsurge in one of the big centers, and Saul and Robert have a real row.
Complex TV relationships and characters tend to max out by age 50, which is why, despite the show's flaws, I could watch Grace and Frankie's existential journeys over and over again.
The series's sixth season is good preparation for its seventh and final one, setting up some new character arcs while being a fun ride in its own right.
If the writing feels familiar, the performances always feel witty and refined, like two masters easily pulling off material they could do in their sleep.
