The second season begins with Gary, who is trying to help a young boy with leukemia, but refuses chemotherapy. Meanwhile, Gary wants this child to meet Jenny Sloan, the cancer-stricken Chicago granny, and a Sun Times reporter writes a full column describing Jenny Sloan in detail. In the meantime, Gary and Chuck must prevent an old friend from his previous job from conducting a very serious cosmetic surgery.
Early Edition is equal parts sweet and old-fashioned. But when an episode clicks, the show feels as comfortable and soothing as watching an old movie on a rainy night.
