The seventh season begins strongly through more different events, where Larry seems to enjoy his divorce with Cheryl and began to take his way as one man. In the meantime, everyone seems to be avoiding the charity party, going with Jeff and Susie on a three-month trip to New York City but suddenly meeting Lyon.
Even though moving to New York only amounts to a change in window dressing, the minor tweak makes a surprising impact on a series that's starting to grow predictable in its old age.
Curb remains an acquired taste. Still, even if you never watched a minute of the previous seven seasons, you can tune in and get some laughs. Guilty and otherwise.
