This is a very different story, where the story is about football in central Ohio, the birthplace of football. There is a high school football team in the small town to play their rivals in the city to achieve victory. It may seem that this team is a permanent center of power, while standing in the face of an entire society and achieving something of an exciting challenge.
There's scarcely a moment that doesn't feel hackneyed; at its best, it's like Friday Night Lights (movie or series) drained of everything remotely distinctive.
