Adapted from the trilogy of Stieg Larsson, this movie is about Salander who is a young girl with remarkable brain and is a great hacker who is able to hack into security network for crucial information; the only catch is that this girl is donned with a tattoo and a piercing.
Fincher's Dragon Tattoo is a faithful adaptation that brings the dazzle but shortchanges on the daring... It's gloriously rendered but too impersonal to leave a mark.
Whilst Fincher doesn't exactly blow the original out of the water, he does add enough to make the project feel less like an unnecessary retread than it otherwise may have.
