In this movie, Jack Grimaldi (Gary Oldman), a policeman who advises the mafia for money, falls in a dangerous frame when he cheats his loving wife with a young mistress. Now, he's trying to assassinate a pretty Russian murderous woman.
It's a film about laws, loss and heartbreak, but also one of optimistic inspiration and new beginnings. Richmond, California is bleeding, but if you look around so is everyone else.
For all its promise, and for all the brittle beauty of Dariusz Wolski's cinematography, Romeo Is Bleeding eventually collapses under the weight of its violent affectations.

The cast tries to make up for the script's hollowness by hurling themselves headlong into the sort of bloody, sweating, spittle-spewing performances that can sometimes turn thin material into personal triumphs, but to little avail.
