A developmentally delayed 40 year old virgin who spends most of his time with his widower father, Shonzi, is sent to live with his brother Todd. While living there, Shonzi develops a crush on Todd's girlfriend, Lindsay.
Lynskey gives a winning performance here as a New Agey peacemaker straining to be tolerant of Shonzi's quirks and perhaps too optimistic about the prospects of making him more sensitive.
Much of this is funny and even perceptive about the nooks and crannies of adult sexual relationships. It's also very well acted ... But something feels off.
